Warranty
The warranty covers only EGO Movement products purchased from an EGO Movement licensed dealer or directly from an EGO Movement store.
What does the warranty cover and how long does it last?
- Frame: 5 years
- Motor: 24 months
- Battery (up to 60% of capacity): 24 months
Please note: The warranty for the battery expires in particular in the event of incorrect operation due to deep discharge (complete discharge and not immediately recharging), prolonged non-use without recharging (> 45 days) and permanent exposure to very high (> 40°C) or very low (< 5°C) temperatures. The same applies if the battery is charged with a non-genuine EGO Movement charger, the housing is opened or damaged, the battery is short-circuited or placed in water or cleaned with water.
What is excluded from the warranty?
The following components/parts and circumstances are excluded from the warranty or lead to exclusion from this warranty:
- All wear parts (see next question).
- If the vehicle is technically modified without the consent of the manufacturer
- Subsequent conversion/installation of non-compatible or non-original parts
- EGO Movement foreign parts/components
- Improper use/transport
- Lack of service within a reasonable period of time
- Improper assembly or maintenance (observe operating instructions!)
- Damage due to missing or incorrect adjustment or worn components
- Damage due to falling
- Damage due to weather influences or normal wear and tear
- Damage due to unsuitable cleaning agents, utensils such as high-pressure cleaners or additives used.
- Use in racing and competition
- Unauthorized rental/transfer
Which parts are considered wear parts?
The following general wear parts must be replaced at cost when they reach their wear limits:
- Drive chain, sprockets, pinions
- brake pads, brake fluid, brake discs, brake cables, brake cable housings
- shift cable sleeves, shift cables
- tires, inner tubes, rim tapes
- seals of suspension elements
- Saddle
- Light bulbs, cables/connectors
- Handlebars, handlebar grips
- Lubricants
